ASBAP Rigid Transition

Roadside barriers are categorized by stiffness into flexible, semi-rigid, and rigid types. To safely connect barriers with differing stiffness, a stiffness transition is essential to mitigate rollover, pocketing, or rail rupture risks. The Ingal® RBT is a MASH Test Level 3 compliant transition designed to link semi-rigid barriers to rigid concrete structures. It features a 6m transition length for Ezy-Guard 4 and an 8m length for Ezy-Guard HC. The Ingal® RBT has undergone crash testing with the same rigid barriers, as outlined in the Austroads SBTA 21-005 Transition standards.
