ET-2000 Plus - NCHRP 350

As of February 2020, the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) Specification M23 Appendix A has designated ET2000 Leading End Terminals as legacy systems, allowing them only for repair use and not for new highway installations. Site-specific acceptance from NZTA is required for use on structures.

The ET2000™ PLUS (Guardrail Extruder Terminal) absorbs vehicle impact energy by deforming the guardrail, effectively reducing issues like spearing, vaulting, and rollover. Its non-flared design is ideal for spaces where a flared terminal is impractical or too costly.

The ET2000 PLUS™ comes in two sizes: a 7.62m NCHRP 350 Test Level 2 terminal for speeds ≤ 70km/h and a 15.24m NCHRP 350 Test Level 3 terminal for speeds > 70km/h.
